Drawing (Week 2-3)

It seems like we have just started college yesterday, and somewhere we forgot to notice that september is almost over. As they say when you are having fun, time passes very fast. Well, I hope, besides studying we will always have a moment to ourselves to have fun in practicum classes, such as in Drawing class. The first class, after having a hard time to find that mysteriously hidden class room, I was amased and I just couldn't believe my eyes. I asked myself and the others if we are really going to draw on those easels. It felt like I was an artist myself...painting/drawing in an art school. That day our teacher Mr. Herman, didn't give us any serious tasks to accomplish, so I drew some of my favourite patterns. My first picture looked similar to a children's drawing: I drew a fish with yellow wings and red shoes, and a bunch of other crazy looking figures. My second piece of work was an eye, which is probably even bigger than my own head. :) The third week, when we visited the Drawing room, for the second time, our semester really began. Our first task was to copy the two squares, that were placed on the table. To be perfectly honest, I found this task rather boring and uninteresting. Drawing straight lines, without any colours, or imagination just isn't my cup of tea. After finishing my "boxes" I didn't have the feeling of being ready, so I sneaked into the staffroom and grabbed some pastel crayons. So eventually I coloured the squares and added some curves right next to the straights. This way I was happy for what I have created. I hope to have this kind of feeling everytime I walk out of the Drawing room!

The visit to "strawberry garden"

On Friday we visited an exhibition with Dr. Phil and Délia. Afterwards we went to Epres kert(?) which is a garden where artists carve their sculptures. I took some pictures, these turned out to be the best:

Photography (Week 2)

On our first class, we got to know our Photography teacher, who told us all about his passion for photography, and of course what we will be doing in this semester. We also took a few pictures/portraits in the garden what we will show to each other the next lecture. Usually if I see something interesting I take a photo, and use photoshop to spice it up a little. But I have only done photography as a hobby, so I am really excited and even more curious about what Mr. Godsave is going to teach us. I am absolutely sure that he will be able to show us some new techniques and maybe even change the way we see photography itself. So I am looking forward to our new discoveries in Photography class! :)
